What are your responsibilities? - Responsible for the day to day operations of the building, Team Building & Making sure our seniors are safe. Overseeing another home as a support ED.
What do you contribute to the company? - Passion for seniors, team building and manager with a positive approach. Commitment and strong communication.
What personality characteristics do you bring to the company? i.e. fun, caring, compassionate, emotional, innovative, respectful and any others - Great sense of humor , respectful , caring innovated and absolutely a people person.
What are your previous work experiences? (Keep it short) - Began my career as a nurse, eventually owned and operated Homes for Special Care, and a Retirement Home. Moved on as Nursing Supervisor for an agency and then as General Manager and Executive Director for other Retirement Homes in the Industry.
What is your education background? ?- RPN and member of the College of Nurses, Part time studies regarding Business , Community Nursing and Palliative Care continue to take Part time studies at Community Colleges.
What awards and/or accolades have you received? - Recognized for being in the top 5 for the highest NOI. Award for the fastest lease ups in a new build.
What work related professional associations, committees, groups do you participate in? What positions do you hold? - Member of The College of Nurses, Attend ORCA events, seminars etc.
Where were you born, raised and live? Born and raised in Barrie and currently resides there.
Do you have children? How many? What sex? Are you married? - 2 grown children a daughter and a son.
What are your interests outside of work? i.e. sports activities, volunteer activities, hobbies. - In my free time I travel, spend time at the cottage, decorating and shopping. I like to boat, read, and Cook as well as entertain with Family and Friends. Spending time with our 2 Golden Retrievers Bentley and Macey.

Director of Wellness
Caroline’s love of the elderlies and desire to work with a company that is devoted to the well being of the elderlies is what drew her to become a Director of Wellness. Caroline joined our team in December of 2015 has a Director of Wellness at the Atrium Retirement Home. Her role involves coaching and mentoring individuals and team members, as well as working with family and resident to make sure all their medical and individual needs are met to make their new journey a special one.
Caroline started her career working in mental health but always had a foot in with the elderlies. She holds a Registered Practical Nurse Diploma from Georgian College, a CPR and First Aid Instructor Certificate and a Mask Fitting certificate.
Caroline lives in Midland where she raised two sons and started a construction business before becoming a Nurse, she is originally from Jonquiere Quebec, English is her second language. In her time away from work, she enjoys reading, traveling, watching hockey and horse back riding.

What is your position? - Director of Community Relations
When did you join the company? - 2014
What are your responsibilities? - I’m responsible for making the Atrium known to everyone in the area. Reaching out to the community to help and support our seniors. Showcasing our building to all prospects and helping them visualize this as their home.
What do you contribute to the company? - My friendly enthusiasm helps to keep everyone, staff and residents in the building happy. My service to the community and volunteering of my time helps to spread the good word of the Atrium and what a wonderful place it is to live.
What personality characteristics do you bring to the company? i.e. fun, caring, compassionate, emotional, innovative, respectful and any others. - I’m extremely friendly and outgoing and have a genuine interest in all new people that I meet. Creative and always looking for a new challenge.
What are your previous work experiences? (keep it short) - Over 15 years sales and sales management experience.
What awards and/or accolades have you received? - HDMLA Volunteer of the Year 2013.
What work related professional associations, committees, groups do you participate in? What positions do you hold? - Executive Member of CARP Orillia Chapter. I have been president of Huntsville Minor Lacrosse, President of Huntsville Jr B and Jr C Lacrosse and VP of Huntsville Sr B Lacrosse, currently service as Ontario Lacrosse Assoc’s Zone 4 Director, sit on OLA Minor Council and Board of Governors.
Where were you born, raised and live? - Was born in Guelph, ON raised and live in Huntsville, ON.
Do you have children? How many? What sex? Are you married? - 2 children, boys.
What are your interests outside of work? i.e. sports activities, volunteer activities, hobbies. - I have been teaching spin classes for over 14 years, love lacrosse and cycling.
